ALL PROBATE MATTERS WILL BE FILED BY MAIL OR IN PERSON.

Georgia Probate Courts exercise exclusive, original jurisdiction in the probate of wills, administration of estates, appointment of guardians (minor and adult) and involuntary hospitalization of incapacitated adults and other individuals.

Probate court judges administer oaths of office, issue marriage and firearms licenses.

All of Georgia’s Standard Probate forms are available from the Probate Court.  They can also be downloaded at gaprobate.gov along with the Handbook for Guardians and Conservators of Minors and Adults.  Videos for Adult and Minor guardianships and conservatorships can also be viewed on the website.

Neither the judge nor the clerks are able to give legal advice concerning any probate court matter.
